On today’s podcast I have my friend Cesar Abeid from my Podcast Mastermind Group and the Construction Industry Podcast on for a chat about how he uses social media in his business.

Speaking of Masterminds, I have started one with a couple of friends who are also started Tech related businesses in my city of Thunder Bay. Many of the lessons I am learning from my MasterMind are being applied to this little group of three. It should be a great experience for all of us.

Find Out The News About Your Business And The Competition

Here is a tip to stay up to date on what is being said about your business on the web. Go to Google Alerts and sign in with your Gmail account.

In the “Search Query” field put in the name of your business in quotations. See picture below. Now every time something gets mentioned online about your business ou will know exactly what it is and where it happened.

Here is another tip: Do the same for your competition! Wouldn’t it be great to know what they are up to?

Cesar and I talk about how his business came to the realization that they had to have a social presence online. He goes into detail on how he interacts with his market with his favorite social sites:
